Contemporary World Film Series 2026: “BE MY DAD” — a thought-provoking comedy from Hungary.
This September, TK Park, in collaboration with the Embassy of Hungary in Thailand and the National Film Institute of Hungary, proudly presents a special screening of BE MY DAD (Szia, Életem!). Part of the Contemporary World Film Series 2026, the event will take place on Sunday, 20 September 2026 at TK Park, 8th Floor centralwOrld to celebrate global cultures through cinema.
Directed by Gábor Rohonyi and Csaba Vékes, this acclaimed, heartwarming comedy follows Barna, a blocked writer whose life transforms when he unexpectedly must care for a seven-year-old boy. H.E. Szilvia Szaloki, Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand, will deliver opening remarks, followed by a post-screening reception hosted by the Embassy where attendees can connect and discuss the film.
