Adventures in Old Songkhla is best suited for students in first through third grade. The illustrator wants the reader to appreciate the beauty of Songkhla's streets, especially Nakhon Nok, Nakhon Nai, and Nang Ngam roads. The scenes depicted in the book reflect the beauty and cleanliness of Songkhla City itself. Also the pictures are arranged to allow the reader to carefully look each one over, after having read the text.
The amount of text has been minimized to help the reader to pay close attention to the pictures. The paucity of text allows teachers to design activities in which students can do basic research to learn more about the places in the story, or other related aspects which interest the readers.
